Can I deduct employee business expenses on my tax return?
Many work related expenses can be deducted on your tax return if your employer did not reimburse them. The most common deductions are travel related (meals, lodging, mileage, etc.) expenses.
How do I claim Child Support?
Child support is not a federal supported item on your tax return. There is no place to claim your child support payments made or received on the Federal form 1040.
Some of the states support the reporting of Child Support payments made or received, and also list them in a line item if it is supported by that state on the state worksheet.
